"O
come, let us sing to the Lord!"
You
stand in the middle of the street with the Bible held over
your head. Why isn't everyone singing? Commuters honk and
drive around you. Children on their way to school scurry
by you nervously. Don't they realize that God could come
today?
The
voice came to you in the middle of the night: "Send
out thy light and thy truth." You stayed up all night.
You turned on all the lights in the house and the garage.
You carried candles out to the street and lit them. You
stuffed newspaper into a garbage can and were about to light
it when the sun started to rise. You took that as a sign
that God was pleased, and you took to the streets to announce
his arrival.
